There likely is a reason as to why they are so popular nowadays, but I am more concerned with why people choose to put them in their lawns. I think maybe its because they add a splash of color to an otherwise completely green lawn. I also think it is because they are cute and simplistic. Whatever the reason may be, they are certainly iconic and a silly addition to any yard.
